  Mrs. J. A. Manson's Nephew The sudden death occurred in Yorkton, Sask., on Friday of a heart ailment of William A. Ross, aged 49 years, formerly of Ottawa, and a nephew of Mrs. John A. Manson, Ayr. Mr. and Mrs. Ross had visited with his aunt, Mrs. Manson, and Mr. Manson here some five weeks ago while en route to their new home in Yorkton. Mr. Ross was well known in Ayr, having visited here many times. He was born in Galt, a son of the late George Ross and Nellie Anderson. He served in the army in both great wars, receiving his commission as major in the last war. Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, John, of Ottawa. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, with interment in the Yorkton Cemetery. The Ayr News Jul 15 1948 pg 19
