At the K-W Hospital on Sunday, April 7, 1974, after a lengthy illness, Arthur E. Brown of 120 Union Blvd., Kitchener, aged 78 years; a resident of the Twin Cities, for the past 29 years; had been employed at Carling's, for 17 years, until his retirement in 1962; had served in the First World War over-seas with the fourth battalion and had been a member of the 111th Galt battalion and with the Veteran Guards, in the Second World War; husband of Audrey Durrant; father of John Angus of Waterloo, Mrs. Gifford (Kathryn) Toole of Mississauga; sister of Mary Brown of Galt; predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, until noon on Tuesday, when removal to the Church of the Holy Saviour, Waterloo, will take place. Funeral service will be at 3: 30 from the church, with Rev. Arthur Brown of Toronto officiating. Interment in the Trinity Anglican cemetery, Cambridge (Galt).
