  GEORGE E. KELLY 1915-1978 Described as one of the best all round athletes born in Galt, George Ernest Kelly was an accomplished professional hockey player and golfer. He played junior hockey in Galt and played in the American Hockey League for ten years with teams in New York, Providence, Baltimore, Atlantic City, Dallas, River Vale, N.J., Oakland, Hershey and St. Louis. Mr. Kelly won the Ontario Assistant Professionals golf tournament when he was just twenty one and established three course records. Mr. Kelly was Tri-County golf champion for three consecutive years and toured the southern United States professional golf circuit for a year.
