  SEILING, Donald C. On Sunday. March 20, 1992, fighting to the end. Donald Clarence Ira Seiling was born in Elmira, December 20, 1923, the son of Albert Seiling and Edna Mackie. He was married to Gertrude Martin on January 9, 1943 and lived in Elmira and area all his life. Don worked in the family poultry and farm business and more recently was active in standardbred horse racing. He was involved in recreation and minor sports in Elmira for many years. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Gertrude; four sons and their families, Rod and Sharon of Toronto, Ken and Kathy of Elmira, Don Jr. at home and Ric and Janice of Buffalo. He will also be very much missed by his grandchildren, who were his special friends, Michael and his wife Cara, Bradley. Heather, Scott, Amy, Mark, Megan, Melody, Krystal and Zachary. He is also fondly remembered by his sisters, Bette Musselman, Shirley Braid and Jean and her husband Carl Trapp and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Dorothy. The family looks forward to meeting and sharing fond memories with family and friends at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, Monday (tonight) 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Wednesday, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Elmira, for funeral service at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Donald Stroh officiating, followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 469, Elmira, will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday eve ning at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
