    • Death Of Stephen Horn

      Esteemed Resident Passes Thursday In His 83rd Year

      The death occurred here early Thursday of Stephen Nairn Horn, in his 83rd year. Mr. Horn suffered a fall early in November and had been confined to his bed since then. He contracted pneumonia about a week prior to his demise which was the immediate cause of his passing. Born in Scotland, he came to this country 60 years ago. Before coming to Ayr 12 years ago, he had lived for the most part in Western Canada. He was a member of Knox United Church. Surviving are two sisters, Miss I. Horn, Ayr, and Mrs. Nielson of Vancouver, and two brothers, Alex of Winnipeg and Robert of New Westminster, B.C. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with private service at his late home on Hall street and interment in the Ayr Cemetery. Rev. J. W. Currie of Knox United Church was in charge of the services, and the pallbearers were: R. K. Cowan, James A. Dalzell, J. C. Powney, James Welsh, Melvin Hunt, and Robert Mathison.
