    • Heating Firm Head, W. H. Peacock Dies


      William H. Peacock, 65, director and board chairman of W. H. Peacock Plumbing and Heating Ltd., died today at K-W Hospital after a heart attack.

      Mr. Peacock was past president of the Waterloo-Wellington Mechanical Contractors Association, and past chairman of the Ontario branch of the Canadian Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association.

      He came to the Twin Cities 48 years ago from his native Leeds, Yorkshire, England and lived at 20 Mary St. Mr. Peacock was a past master of Grand River Masonic Lodge, a charter member of Temple Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Masonic Scottish Rite of Guelph. He was a life member of the Kitchener-Waterloo YMCA, a past president of the Boy Scouts Association, a member of the K-W Rotary Club, and of St. John's Anglican Church.

      Mr. Peacock was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peacock. Surviving are his wife, the former Cora Scheifele; three sons, Donald, William, and John, all of Kitchener; two daughters, Mrs. Alan (June) Fogal of Richmond Hill and Mrs. Gilbert (Carol) Hogg of Guelph; three sisters, Mrs. Fred Maddin of Toronto, Mrs. Fred McBride of Brampton and Mrs. Wilson Frazer of Cooksville, and 13 grandchildren.

      The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7 pm Tuesday under the auspices of Temple Lodge, assisted by Grand River Lodge. Removal will be made to St. John's Anglican Church at noon Wednesday for service at 2 pm, conducted by Archdeacon Morse Robinson. Burial will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations to the North Waterloo Society for Crippled Children will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
