  WEICKER, Howard Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Nithview Community, New Hamburg. Howard was formerly of R.R. # 1 New Hamburg. He was born 89 years ago in Wilmot Township and was the son of Percy and Olive (Kalbfleisch) Weicker. Beloved husband and best friend of Doris (Shantz) Weicker who he married May 29, 1948. Loving father of Susan and husband Laurie Kraftcheck of Exeter, Marion Shantz of Plattsville, Laurie and husband Wilf Thyssen of Fergus, Tracy Sheard and friend Brett Naisby of Plattsville. Sadly missed by his ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dorothy Sindall of Pennsylvania, Joanne and husband Pete Davis of Fergus, Ella Luckart of New Hamburg, Yvonne Shantz of Ayr and Ron Linseman of New Hamburg. Howard was predeceased by step-mother Naomi Weicker, a grandson, brother Kenneth and wife Helen Weicker and brother-in-law Don Sindall. Howard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg and was a former member of the New Dominion Lodge # 205 AF & AM, New Hamburg where he was a Past Master. Family and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, New Hamburg on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11: 00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Andre Lavergne and Pastor Anne Anderson officiating. Cremation to follow with spring interment in Roseville Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation or Trinity Lutheran Church.
