    • DANDENO, CAROLINE MINNIE (Nee Ames)

      III for the past six months, Mrs. Louis J. Dandeno, 53 years of age, on Saturday evening, October 5, 1940, at her home, 100 Water St. South in Kitchener. Born in Morriston in 1887, Mrs. Dandeno was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ames. She was married at Guelph in 1907. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Before going to Kitchener, the family lived in Galt for several years. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Albert of the Royal Canadian Engineers in Halifax; Gordon of the Royal Canadian Regiment at Camp Borden; two daughters, Mrs. G. H. Wheeler of Toronto; Mrs. J. G. Brooks of Oshawa; four brothers, John and Frank Ames, both of Berkeley, CA; Gordon Ames of St. Mary's; Albert Ames of Kapuskasing; two sisters, Mrs. W. G. Brown and Mrs. G. Allen, both of Toronto; six grandchildren. One son predeceased her. Funeral on Wednesday morning from the Lippert-Gruhn Funeral Home to St. Mary's Church at 9, with interment in Mount Hope Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hespeler.
