STRATFORD Dr. Robert Stanley Murray who retired from medical practice in November 1953, died Saturday at Stratford General Hospital.
Native of Galt he was a son of the late James of, Murray and Janet King. After graduation from University of Western Ontario he served as a medical officer in the First World War, then practised in Mitchell from 1919 until 1925 when he moved to Stratford. During the Second World War he was a medical officer, serving in several Ontario centres. He was a former member of the Stratford board of education and at the time of his retirement from the profession was district representative of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. He was Canadian National Railways medical doctor here for several years.
Surviving are his wife, the former Anne McGugan; two sons, Donald of Price George, B.C., and Malcolm of Oxford, Ohio. A son Kenneth was killed on active service overseas with the RCAF during the Second World War. The body is at the family residence, 107 Queen St. for service at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow with burial in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford.
