• Notes

  In Galt, on Monday afternoon, 11th inst., at 3 o'clock, Eliza, wife of James McTague, Esq., aged 28 years. The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, at 3 o'clock, the attendance being very large. The town council, of which Mr. McTague is a member, and the firemen, of which he is chief, walked before the Hearse; while a large concourse of his fellow townsmen evinced their respect for the departed, and their sympathy with Mr. McTague in his bereavement, by joining the cortege as it moved towards the cemetery.
