  Gone to Her Rest We are called upon today to record the death of a very old and well known resident of this town in the person of Mrs. John Barraclough, who succumbed to an attack of dropsy on Sunday last, in the 76th year of her age. The deceased was an active participant in all the joys and sorrows of early village life in Galt, and was widely known throughout this entire section. She has not of late enjoyed good health, but although it was known that she was failing, the end came unexpected at last, and on Sunday afternoon she passed calmly to her rest.
