  BAETZ, Harold Edward - It is with deep sadness that we announce the quiet passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Harold Edward Baetz, on December 30, 2008, in his 85th year. Loving husband of 57 years to Mary Jane Baetz (now residing at Pinehaven Nursing Home). Father of Anne Marie Fraser (Scott) of Waterloo, Rick (Cathy) of Barrie, Barb Brawn (Jim) of Cambridge and Terry (Rochelle) of Thornbury. Predeceased by daughter, Judi Gingerich (Randy) (2006) and son, David (2005). Grandfather of Leah Goetz-Bryant (Rich), Janelle Coombs (Chris), Christopher Baetz, Jessica and Emily Baetz, Mandi and Cara Gingerich, Mary-Jane, Cathlyne, Jack, and Olivia Baetz. Great-grandfather of Drew Goetz and Maxim Coombs. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Frances Baetz. Brother of Donald (Delina) and Rita Schnarr (Art). Predeceased by brother, Fred and sisters, Marg Bruder, Eileen Bruder, and Helen Hinsperger. He will be missed by the staff and residents of Conestoga Lodge, where he resided for the last two years. Visitation at Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on January 2, 2009, at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's RC Church, 268 East Avenue, Kitchener. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
