- Bowman, Edwin S., son of Moses C. and Lydia (Shantz) Bowman, was born at Mannheim, Ont.; died at Freeport Hospital, Jan. 22, 1975; aged 90 y. He was married to Laura Eby, who preceded him in death in July 1973. He was the last surviving member of his family. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers (Alvan, Henry S., and Moses S. Bowman), and one sister (Melinda). He was a member of First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, Ont., where funeral services were held on Jan. 24, in charge of Robert N. Johnson and Stanley Shantz; interment in First Mennonite Cemetery

BOWMAN, Edwin S. - At the Freeport Hospital on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1975, after a lengthy illness, Edwin S. Bowman, formerly a resident of Fairview Mennonite Home, Preston, aged 90 years. Mr. Bowman was born in Mannheim, a son of the late Rev. Moses C. Bowman and the former Lydia Shantz, Mr. Bowman, along with his wife, farmed at Guernsey, Sask., for many years; retired and returned to Kitchener in 1948; a member of First Mennonite Church. Mr. Bowman was the last surviving member of his family; he was predeceased by his wife, the former Laura Eby in July of 1973, and by three brothers, Alvah, Henry S., and Rev. Moses S. Bowman, and one sister Melinda. Friends may call at the Ratz- Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after noon on Thursday, until noon on Friday, when removal will be made to First Mennonite Church for the service at 3 p.m., with Rev. Rob- ert Johnson officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Mennonite Mission Board or the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan may be made as expressions of sympathy.
