- LICHTY, Gertrude "Gertie" (Mrs. Gordon) - Peacefully on Monday, July 2, 2007, at her home. Gertrude (Heibein) Lichty, in her 100th year, of St. Jacobs. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Lichty (1996). Dear mother of Dennis and Barbara Lichty of RR 2, Elmira, Marion and James Soltysiak of Brampton, Marlene and Roy Gilles of St. Jacobs. Lovingly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, Brenda and Brian Currah, Bruce and Ruth Martin, Carol and John Paznar, Diane and Warren Hall, Judy and Bob Cusiter, Brian and Kelly Lichty, Laurie and Robin Carmount, Jeff and Cheryl Soltysiak, Todd and Sheila Soltysiak, Leanne and Scott Gibson, Michelle and Carey Sesto, Mike and Carolyn Gilles, Stephen Gilles and by her 26 great-grandchildren and by her eight great-great-grandchildren. Gertrude was the last surviving member of her family having been predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna (Westfall) Heibein; her three brothers, Howard, Edgar and Garfield and her two sisters, Edna and Elvina and by her daughter, Loraine and her husband Walter Martin. The family will receive their friends and relatives at Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2007 transfer will be made to the St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs for funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Harold Brill officiating followed by interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, St. Jacobs. In her memory, donations to the St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs, would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
