  Lichty, Gordon - On Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1996, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Gordon Jacob Lichty, age 97 years, of St. Jacobs. Beloved husband of Gertrude (Heibein) Lichty whom he married on June 20, 1928. Loving father of Dennis and Barbara Lichty of RR 2, Elmira, Marion and James Soltysiak of Brampton, Marlene and Roy Gilles of St. Jacobs. Fondly remembered by his 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, David and Maryann (Peppler) Lichty; one daughter, Loraine and her husband, Walter Martin; one brother, Irvin Lichty and two sisters, Edna Schneider and Clara Dreisinger. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. At noon on Saturday, transfer will be made to St. James Lutheran Church, St. Jacobs for funeral service at 2: 30 p.m., with Rev. Frank Haggarty officiating followed by interment in St. Jacobs Lutheran cemetery. In his memory, donations to St. James Lutheran Church Organ Fund or the Red Cross Home Care may be made as expressions of sympathy. The Record 15 Feb 1996
