- A resident of Bloomingdale most of his life, Charles Bedford, 94, died Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital following a brief illness.
A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bedford, he was born in Kitchener, Sept. 4, 1870. He was employed for many years at the McAllister Saw Mill until retiring in 1954. He was a member of Bloomingdale United Church.
His wife, the former Olive McAllister, died in 1946.
He was the last surviving member of his family. A number of nieces and nephews are his only survivors.
The body rested at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home where Rev. Dr. Charles L. Lewis of Bloomingdale United Church conducted the service at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial was in Bloomingdale Cemetery.
