      A well-known resident of Kitchener, Alfred Simon Leo Hummell, 70 David street, died at St. Mary's Hospital last evening following an illness of ten days. He was in his 46th year. The deceased, who was employed as a steward at the Windsor Hotel, was born at Bloomingdale, Nov. 20, 1892. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas Hummell. Prior to working at the Windsor Hotel, the late Mr. Hummell worked at the Walper House for 18 years, and at the Westmount golf Club and the Granite club for five years. He was married to Amelia Keller at Kitchener in June, 1910.

      Surviving are his widow, his mother and father, three children, Phylis, Junilla and Gwendolyne, all at home, three brothers, Charles of Kitchener, Reinie of Bloomingdale and Arthur of Preston, one sister, Mrs. J. Yantz of Breslau.

      Funeral services will be public on Friday morning at St. Mary's R.C. church at 9 o'clock to Mount Hope R.C. Cemetery for burial. Remains will rest at the Schreiter-Sandrock funeral home until Wednesday noon.
