The death of Donald McKay Bemis is regretted by a host of friends. Coming with startling suddenness the death of Mr. Bemis removes a prominent figure from a social circle in which he was widely popular. In a home noted for its kind hospitality he will be greatly missed. As a friend of sterling worth he filled in the life of the community a place that will sadly lack him. Mr. Bemis leaves to mourn his loss two sisters, Mary and Abbie at home and a brother Asaph of Detroit. The funeral held on Sunday and presided over by the Masons of which he was a member, was largely attended many coming from a distance. The floral offerings were numerous. The community extends sympathy to the remainder of the family.
