  KUNKEL, Jacob - Of 247 Franklin St. N., Kitchener, at the K-W Hospital, Saturday, Sept. 27, 1980, in his 87th year, formerly of Cambridge (Preston). Jacob Kunkel, beloved husband of the late Viola Meyer; dear father of Douglas of Cambridge, Donald of Hamilton, Ruth (Mrs. Alex Kovats) of Sauble Beach. Also survived by two brothers, Irvin of Calgary and Norman of Lomond, Alta., a sister Mrs. Gertrude Snider of New Hamburg, seven grandchildren and. seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Kunkel was born in Kitchener and lived a great number of years in Cambridge. Owned and operated a grocery store on King Street, Preston. A member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and a former member of the Preston Legion Band. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, for funeral service Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment in Memory Gardens, Breslau. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appredated by the family.
