- Charles Heibein, life-long resident of this district, passed away at his home a few miles northeast of West Montrose on Saturday. He was in his 53rd year. The late Mr. Heibein was a partner in the firm of Lowe and Heibein. A native of Woolwich township, Mr. Heibein was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Heinbein [Heibein]. He was well-known as a livestock breeder.
The late Mr. Heibein was a director of the Wellington county Fall Fair Board for several years past, as well as a prominent exhibitor at the Royal winter Fair and other fairs throughout the province.
One sister, Miss Leonora Heibein of Elmira, survives.
The funeral was held from the home of Mr. John Lowe on Tuesday afternoon. Interment was made in the Elmira cemetery.
