- ROBERTSON, Lewella - In Hanover and District Hospital, on December 7, 1977, after a lengthy illness, in her 84th year. A long-time resident of Chesley, Ont., and Arran Township, the former Lewella Snyder, a daughter of the late Jacob and Hannah Snyder, formerly of Bloomingdale. Mrs. Robertson was predeceased by her husband, John, and a son, Stewart, who was killed in Sicily in the Second World War. She is survived by a son, Donald of Southampton; three daughters, Jean (Mrs. Ellis Hammond) of Chesley, Helen (Mrs. Clarence Ditner) of St. Agatha and Peggy (Mrs. Tom Cousineau) of Elmira; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rested at the Emke Funeral Home, Chesley, until Friday, December 9, when funeral and committal services were held at the funeral home at 2 p.m.
