Heckendorn. - Elizabeth, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Eby Bergey, was born in Mannheim, Ont., May 6, 1860; passed away at the K.-W. Hospital after a lengthy illness, Feb. 9, 1946; aged 85 y. 9 m. 3 d. She was united in marriage to Menno Heckendorn, who passed away twenty-five years ago. She was a member of the Mennonite Church and was known for her faithfulness and steadfastness of character and her abiding interest in the things of God. Surviving are one son (Clayton B., Zurich, Ont.), 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 2 brothers (Jacob, Hillside Beach, Man.; and Aaron, Detroit, Mich.). She was predeceased by her only daughter (Ella) sixteen years ago. Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite Church, Kitchener, in charge of C. F. Derstine, assisted by Emerson Hallman.
