A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________________ JOHN B. HORST John B. Horst, 85, of Floradale, died Saturday Nov. 26, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Noah M. Gingrich, Floradale, after a short illness. He was born April 10, 1875, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Horst. Feb 20 1900, he married Nancy Reist. She predeceased him in February. 1942. Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Noah (Leah) Gingrich of Floradale; six sons, Menno of Floradale, Samuel, John and Isaac of RR 1 Elmira, Noah of St. Jacobs and Enos of RR 2, Drayton; two brothers, David at the K-W Hospital and Menno B. of St. Jacobs, 30 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by one daughter, a brother and three sisters. The body was at his residence where a private funeral service was held Tuesday, followed by a public service at the North Woolwich Meeting House. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
