      The funeral of William Ziegler of Bridgeport was held Saturday from his late residence to the Bridgeport Lutheran Church and cemetery. Mr. Ziegler, who passed away July 23rd, at the age of 73 years is survived by six sons, Edward of Kitchener, Harry of Detroit, Milton of Unity, Sask., Herbert of Moose Jaw, Jacob and Charles of Kichtener, three daughters, Mrs. Albert Rank, Bridgeport, Mrs. Scholl, Monkton and Mrs. Frederick Delion, Kitchener, four brothers, Jacob of Heidelberg, Henry, Waterloo, Louis, Brandon, Man., and John of Mich., four sisters, Misses Katie and Rose Ziegler, Detroit, Mrs. W. Schaefer, Heidelberg and Mrs. Wm. Veitel, Waterloo, 23 grandchildren and three great grand- children.

      10 Aug 1883 Elise Ziegler, wife of William Ziegler, died in childbirth in Heidelberg at age of 24 years, 4 months & 15 days. She is survived by a sorrowing husband & 4 small children, the youngest of whom was only a few hours old, when its mother died. Mr. Ziegler has the sympathy of the whole neighbourhood as well as that of many friends & acquaintances in his sad situation, since he is scarcely 30 years old & has already buried 2 wives. Peace be to her ashes!
