- Jacob Oberholtzer, "(As informed by the late Rev. Jacob Oberholtzer, the first Oberholtzer came from Switzerland about the year 1725) was the early settler of this family as near as can be ascertained. He resided in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, near Indian Creek. To him were born four children, namely: Jacob, Barbara, married to a Mr. Funk, Ann, married to Matthias Stauffer, and Elizabeth, married to Jacob Hackman."
