- DEATH OF MR. AUG. KLAEHN
The death of Mr. August Klaehn who has been making his hone recently with his daughter, Mrs. Augusta Kaiser, near Doon, took place on Monday. The deceased had been suffering for some time from the infirmities of old age. He was in his 77th year. He was born on March 10th, 1836, in Lexow, Mecklinberg, was and married in early manhood to Miss Sophia Hass who died thirty- nine years ago. He came to Berlin with his family in 1883 and has lived here and the vicinity ever since. He was the last surviving number family of seven brothers and one sister. Four sons and two daughters survive, Messrs Louis, Berlin; Henry William and Herman of Buffalo, Augusta, Doon and Anna, Toronto. Eleven grandchildren also survive. He was of an industrious and quiet disposition. The funeral will take place from the home of his daughter Mrs. Kaiser in Doon at one o'clock on Wednesday alternoon to Mount Hope Cemetery, Berlin.
