- Barbara Baumann, "the eldest child of Joseph and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Baumann, was born on Lot No. 27, German Company's Tract, in the township of Waterloo, county of Waterloo, December 11th, 1825. On October 31st, 1848, she was married to Christian B., son of Joseph and Mary (Baumann) Snyder, Jr. He was born October 18th, 1824, on the farm he now owns. Their family consists of ten children".
