  The Record Newspaper 1 June 2007 HARNEY, Douglas "Doug" - Suddenly, after a brief illness at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Thursday, May 31, 2007, in his 72nd year. Doug Harney of Cambridge, beloved husband of Iona. Cherished father of Sharon Roy, Gary (Heather) Harney, Glenda (Freeman) Carter and Kim (Fred) Allen, all of Cambridge. Poppy of Jodie and Rob Roy, Jennifer Harney, Freeman D and Kristie-Leigh Carter and Alyssa Allen. Dear brother of Angus, Austin, Wally, Rev and Fred and predeceased by a sister, Evelyn and a brother, Ray. Doug was a Plant Manager of Celcor Industries and will be sadly missed by Brian and Cheryl Smith and staff. He served with the RCAF as a Master Corporal for 20 years and was a former owner of Galt Upholstery. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre , 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 11 a.m. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at St. Mary's Hospital and the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Remembrances to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation "Cardiac Care Unit" would be greatly appreciated by the family
