    • KURT, Jean Edith (nee Heimpel)

      Born June 4, 1932 at Mannheim. The youngest child of John and Martha (Gerber) Heimpel. On July 23, 1955 she married Clifford A. Kurt who survives her. They lived in Milverton until 1958 when they moved to Salem. In 1962 they moved to R.R. #2 Elora where she still resided. Clifford and Jean owned C.A. Kurt Milk Transport until 1996. Many employees remained like family to Jean. Dear mother of Cheryl and Bill Leighton of Mount Forest and their children Brianna Machin (Jeremey) and Tyler, Bill and Liz Kurt and their children Clifford Jr. (Summer) and their children William, Jacob and Caleb, and Penny Kurt and her friend Tom and their children Lucas and Allison, Debra Kurt and her son Derek Pryde, Wendy and Jim Driscoll and David and Noreen Kurt and their child Meghann and her children Hayley and Alia. Dear friend of Jim and Vi Young. Canadian grandma to Lesley (Terry) Ruppel and their children Julie, Robert, Alex and Katlyn. Also survived by sisters Annie Bowman, Verna and Bill Wagner and Vera Schlueter, all of Kitchener. Sister-in-law to Rita Heimpel and Reta Stoltz. Predeceased by Mabel and John Bruder, Alice and Alex Service and her brother Orville. She loved to keep in touch with many dear nieces and nephews, grand and great- grandnieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Sunday, October 24th from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, October 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Conestogo, on Tuesday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. Burial to take place following the service in the family plot. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Faith Lutheran Church in Fergus, Groves Memorial Hospital, Sick Children's Hospital or the KW Hospital Cancer Unit, cards available at the Funeral Home (519) 843-3100. www.grahamgiddyfh.com
