      Am 17, Oktober 1871 in Morriston, im alter von 89 jahren, 11 monaten und 20 tagen.

      -Berlin Journal, October 1871.

      -John Mast (1781-1871), his third wife, Regina Haist (1801-1883), their baby son, John, the children of his second marriage, Frederick and Regina, along with Regina's maiden aunt, Amelia Graf (1774-1868) and several members of the Haist family, including two of Regina's brothers, John and Christian came to Canada about 1830. Children of John and Regina Mast were John (1829-1855) of Puslinch, died of pneumonia; Bernard "Barney" (1831-1881) of Puslinch; Christian (1836-1854) was killed instantly by a falling tree; Elizabeth "Betsy" (1837-1913, Mrs. Philip Beaver) of Dashwood: Mary (1838-1911, Mrs. Wilhelm Martin, later Mrs. Benjamin Jacobs); Frank (1843-1923) of Puslinch, later Hespeler; and William George (1844-1921) of Freeport, later Morriston.

Johannes Mast was born in Baiersbronn, Freudenstadt, Wurttemberg, Germany. First marriage to Regina Burkhardt. Second marriage to Agatha Mast. Third marriage to Regina Haist. Children by Agatha Mast were Catherine (1814-1871, Mrs. Christian Haist) of Puslinch, later Hay Twp. , Huron Co. ; and Frederick (1818-1906) of Menomonee, Waukesha, Wisconsin.
