    • Early Resident Pincher District Dies At Calgary

      Charles Gebardt 87 Years Settled in Foothills Area in 1899


      Pioneer resident of Pincher Creek District, having settled there 43 years ago, Charles Gebardt, aged 87, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ross Marcellus in Calgary Saturday. feral services were conducted Monday afternoon in Calgary after Which the body was taken to Pincher Creek for services and interment Tuesday.

      The late Mr. Gebardt, who was born at Preston. Ont settled in Pincher Creek In 1899. He retired 13 years ago and went to Calgary there he celebrated his diamond wedding Oct. 31, 1940. His wife, Elizabeth died last year.

      Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. A. Kunkel, Pincher Creek: Mr.s. R. Marcellus, Calgary, and Mrs. E. Lucdke,. of Montevideo, Minn; one son, John, and one brother, Chris, both of Pincher Creek.; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Baker and Mrs. Caroline Grein in Ontario; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grand-children
