MRS P. S. LAUTENSCHLAGER
Margaret K. Snyder," relic of Philip Lautenschlager, passed at her residence, 166 Frederick street, at 2.40 o'clock this morning after a protracted illness. Mrs. Lautenschlager was born in Waterloo on July 31, 1848, 84 years ago, a daughter of Menno Snyder, who was also born In Waterloo, and Kathrine Kalbfleisch who was born In Darmstadt, Germany. She was married of February 1872 to Philip Lautenschlager In Kitchener then Berlin, by Rev Mr. Schmidt, pastor of Zion Evangelical Church. She has been a member of Benton Street Baptist Church since she was 19 years of age years and was the oldest member of the congregation at the time of her death in point of years and membership. Mrs. Lautenschlager has suffered from nervousness since 44 years ago when she figured to a runaway and has been practically confined to her home. Her husband, who was prominent in municipal, business and church circles, predeceased her on July 19, 1926. He served as a councillor for the east ward for several years and was deputy reeve In 1892. He also acted on the board of health and was a member of the first board of water commissioners. One daughter, Jessie, predeceased her In Infancy on Apr. 21, 1881.
One Roland W. at home, the only surviving child. One brother, E. K. Snyder 160 Frederick street city. And one sister Mrs. Catherine Dunke. 166 Frederick street, also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence. Interment will take place the family plot In Mount Hope Cemetery. Rev. A. J. Lewis officiate.
