  BENDER, Marie (Mary) Theresa - Peacefully, in the company of her family, on Monday, April 17, 2006, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, Marie Bender of New Hamburg. She was born in Kitchener 81 years ago, a daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara (Weber) Lehmann. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hamburg. Marie had also been a member of the Restless Seniors, New Hamburg. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, attending various sports events with her grandchildren and also teaching them cooking skills. Loving mother of Anne and Don Hauss of New Hamburg. Special grandmother and great-grandmother of Debbie and Steve Becker and their children, Kyle and Ryan, Lisa and Chris Williams and their children, Alexandria, Tyler and Jeremy, Jeff and Jamie-Lynn and their daughter, Julie, Bonnie Schaub and her daughters, Brittany and Brianne . Also remembered by her son-in-law, Wayne Brown of New Hamburg; her sisters-in-law, Rilla Lehmann, Isabel Lehmann and Helen Lehmann, all of Kitchener. Predeceased by her daughter, Linda Brown; her husband, Elon Bender; eight brothers and one sister. Friends and relatives may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St., New Hamburg, on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held, on Thursday, April 20, 2006, at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with Pastor's Andre Lavergne and Helen Toman officiating. A time of fellowship immediately following the service in the Water Wheel Room. A private family burial will be held in Chesterfield Cemetery.
