  STEINMAN, Violet (Jantzi) - Passed away, on Friday, March 13, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. Violet was born 88 years ago in Wellesley Township, a daughter of the late Joseph K. and Magdalene (Bast) Kennel. She was a member of Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden, and enjoyed gardening, crafts, flowers and quilting. Violet was predeceased by her husbands Ervin Jantzi in 1965, and Clayton Steinman in 1992. Devoted mother of Elverne Jantzi of Baden, and Beatrice and Frank Klein of Wisconsin, and step-mother of Floyd and Anna Mae Steinman, Orval and Judy Steinman, Marie and Ronald Gerber, all of Wellesley, Roy Steinman of Hickson, and Bernice Wagler of New Hamburg. Also missed by her granddaughter Mary Katherine Klein, 13 step-grandchildren, 28 step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Lavina Wagler, brother Emanuel Kennel, brothers-in-law Rudy Jantzi, Joel Jantzi, and Rudy Steinman, and step-son-in-law Mahlon Wagler. Relatives and friends may call at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home , 291 Huron St., New Hamburg on Monday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The interment will take place on Tuesday March 17, 2009 at 12: 30 p.m. at St. Agatha Mennonite Church Cemetery. The memorial service to celebrate Violet's life will follow at 2 p.m. at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden with Pastor Steve Drudge and Pastor Ilene Bergen officiating.
