  A-2-60 John Banks The Last Will and Testament of John Banks, late of the Town of Galt, Cooper, who died on or about the 15th August 1859 at the Town of Galt, and who at the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Galt, was proved and registered in the Surrogate Court…and that the administration of all and singular…was granted by the aforesaid Court to James Blair, of the town of Galt, Gentleman, the Executor named in said Will… …I John Banks of the Town of Galt, Cooper…do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament… First : I Will and direct that all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be paid out of my estate as soon as conveniently may be by my Executors hereinafter named. Second I will and bequeath all my personal estate, goodsm, chattels and effect whatsoever and wheresoever situate to my beloved wife Esther, as and for her sole use and benefit. Third and as to my real estate I will and direct that my beloved wife Esther shall use and have the benefit of the same for and during the term of her natural life, said real estate consisting of Lot Number 39 in the Hamilton block on the west side of the Grand River in the said Town of Galt containing by admeasurement thirty six perches together with the buildings thereon erected. Fourth I will and devise to my dear children or such of them as shall be living at the time of my wife's decease the whole of my real estate being Lot Number 39 in Galt aforesaid to have and to hold to them their heirs and assigns forever in equal proportion share and share alike. Lastly, I nominate and appoint my trust and esteemed friend, James Blair, of the Town of Galt aforesaid, Executor of this my Last Will and Testament… Witnessed by Richard Blair and Geo. S.
