    • VALENTINE SCHMIDT

      The death of Valentine Schmidt, 82, occurred at his home at Erbsville last evening following a two weeks illness.

      Mr. Schmidt was born in Hessen, Darmstadt, Germany, and came to Canada at the age of nine years, since which he resided all his life in Waterloo County.

      His wife died three years ago. He is survived by three sons and two daughters, Harvey and Roy Schmidt Erbsville, and Norman, Waterloo; Mrs. John Bierman, and Mrs. Gordon Frickey, Erbsville. There are ten grandchildren, two sisters also survive. They are Mrs. John Knarr and Miss Elizabeth Schmidt, both of Waterloo.

      The funeral will be held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon from the residence to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Erbsville Cemetery with Rev. H. Lamach officiating. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
