  FISCHER, Stanley Alvin - Passed away peacefully, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, on Friday, March 12, 2004, at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Esther (nee Schmitt) for 62 years. Loving father of Lynne Galvin and her husband Roger of Brockville, and David and his wife Karen of St. Thomas. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Michael, Katie and Becky. Survived by his sister, Lorna Werner. Predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Alma Fischer (Kaiser) and his brother, Lloyd. Stan was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He has been retired from Uniroyal since 1979. Although his family was his focus, he also enjoyed gardening, sports and loved to travel. Friends are invited to share their memories of Stanley with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Sunday from2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service to celebrate Stanley's life will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, to celebrate Stanley's life will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 22 East Ave., Kitchener, on Monday, March 15, 2004 at 11 am, with Rev. Marcus Kuehn officiating. Interment in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Kitchener. Relatives and friends are invited to join with the family in the church hall immediately following the service.
