Notes - SHANTZ, Hazel - At 94 years, passed away at the A.R. Goudie Eventide Nursing Home, on Friday, November 7, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Nelson Shantz. Cherished mother of Larry Shantz (Margaret), Sandra Bickle (Graham), Gaye Lynn Henry (Richard), Rhonda Snyder (Dale), and Rick Shantz (Vlasta). Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dear sister to Lloyd Doner, and his wife Isobel. Sister-in-law to Alice and Kay Shantz, who was predeceased by her husband Willard. Predeceased by two sisters, Helene Pifer and Ethel Jardine. Also predeceased by brother-in-law, Floyd Shantz and Howard (Gert) Shantz. Hazel will be remembered by all for her loving smile, quiet ways, and positive attitude. Her life revolved around her church, Evangel Community Church. At Hazel's request cremation will take place. Memorial visitation is Tuesday, November 11, 2008 from 10-11 a.m. at Evangel Church (112 Spadina Ave. West) Kitchener. Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. A light lunch will be served at noon, followed by interment at Memory Gardens, The Garden of the Good Sheppard, in Breslau. Donations may be made to the Evangel Hope Fund, if so desired, by calling the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home at 519-742-4481. We sincerely thank the nurses, their aids, support staff, and volunteers for their care and compassion for our mother at the Salvation Army, A.R. Goudie, Eventide Home.
