      Late Thursday evening there passed away at the K-W hospital, after a few days illness with pneumonia, one of the respected residents of this community in the person of Mrs. Ernest Boss, who had attained the age of 52 years. The departed, who maiden name was Rosa Bartels, was born in Hespeler and after her marriage to her now bereaved husband resided in Centerville for some years removing to this vici- nity 18 years ago.

      Their union was blessed with 14 children of whom 10 survive, namely: Marjorie, (Mrs. Ed. Knipfel), Vi- olet, (Mrs. Clarence Schmidt), Fred, Catherine and Mabel, all of Kitch- ener, Lloyd, Holda, Pearl and Paul at home, who with the bereaved husband mourn the passing of their beloved wife and mother There are also left her parents, two brothers. two sisters and seven grand children to mourn her death.

      The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon from Schreiter's funeral home, in Kitchener, where the service was held at 2 o'clock after which the remains were brought here where the service was held at 2 o'clock after which the remains were brought here where they were interred in the family plot on the Lutheran Cemetery, of which church the departed was an adherent Rev. J. Schmieder, of St. Matthews Lutheran Church Kitchener, conducted the service at the funeral home, while Rev. S. J. Wittig, pastor of St. Matthews church of this village, officiated at the grave.
