  Mrs. John H. Shantz Mrs. John H. Shantz of Breslau died on Tuesday of last week in hospital at Boise, Idaho, while on vacation in Western Canada and the United States. She was 75. Mrs. Shantz was the former Ida Bechtel, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Noah Bechtel. She was born in Waterloo Township and lived in Breslau for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Breslau Mennonite Church and the women's missionary service auxiliary.. Surviving are her husband; one son, Lowell of Breslau; five daughters, Mrs. Morgan (Mae) Baer of RR 2, Baden, Jean Shantz of Scarborough, Mrs. Norman (Ella) Gascho of Breslau, Norma Shantz of Eastern Mennonite College, Harrisburg, Va., and Mrs. Arnold (Helen) MacDonald of North Augusta, Ont. and one brother, Eden Bechtel of RR2, Kitchener. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Alvin (Edna) Lugibihl of Pandora, Ohio, Mrs. Roy (Nettie) Snyder of Milverton and Mrs. Sarah Knarr of Preston, and 16 grandchildren.
