- A-1-102 Benjamin Hawk Probate of the will of Benjamin Hawk, late of the Township of Wellesley, granted the 15th July 1856 on the petition of Mary Roadhouse, late widow of Benjamin Hawk (Percifer Hawk & George Hughes having renounced) the Executrix named in said will.
I Benjamin Hawk of the Township of Wellesley, Farmer…I desire that my grain and such part of the farming stock as my Executors may think proper may be disposed of and the proceeds be applied to the payment of my debts. …I now occupy lot number six in the twelfth concession of the Township of Wellesley…that my Executors dispose of part of the said lot so as to enable them to pay the first installment on the remainder…I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Hawk in trust to enable her to support my children during her natural life and at her decease to be equally divided amongst my then surviving children. And I hereby commit the Guardianship of all my children until they shall respectively become of age, unto my said wife, and my Executors hereafter named, and I do hereby declare that the expenses of the maintenance and education of my children until they shall be of age shall be paid and borne by my said wife by and out of the property given and bequeathed to her in and by this my will. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said wife Mary Hawk joint Executrix and my brother Percifer Hawk and my brother-in-law George Hughes, joint Executors of this my last will and testament.
