A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ________________________ Ervin Martin, 76, of RR 3, Waterloo, died Monday at his home following a short illness. Born in Woolwich Township, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mose Martin. He farmed all his life until retirement in 1958. His first wife, the former Lucinda Shantz, predeceased him in 1930. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Martin; two sons, Milford and Maurice, both of RR 3, Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. Clem (Clera[?]) Martin, RR 1, West Montrose, Mrs. Lorne (Bernice) Gingrich and Mrs. Alvin (Irla) Gingrich, both of RR 3, Zurich; one brother, Cleason Martin of Elmira; two sisters, Mrs. Ervin Clemmer of Waterloo and Mrs. Amos Martin of Elmira; also 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Four brothers predeceased him. The body rested at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Wednesday at 11 a.m. when removal was made to his home. Funeral service will be held Thursday with a short service at his home at 1 p.m., followed by a further service at Martin's Mennonite Meeting House. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
