    • WM. MILROY'S DEATH

      One of the Oldest Residents of These Parts - Born at Little's Corners 73 Years Ago

      In the death of William Milroy on Monday, Dumfries lost one of its oldest residents and it was after an illness of only 10 days. The deceased contracted a cold some weeks ago from which pneumonia resulted.

      The late Mr. Milroy was born on his father's farm near Little's Corners 73 years ago. He spent his boyhood there. When he married Mary Ann Harvey he purchased the farm in Dumfries, lot 16, concession 10. Here he lived until his death. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church almost from that church's inception. He was a Reformer in politics.

      His wife and six children survive: Mrs. J. Scott, Mrs. W. Douglas, John Milroy, William Milroy, Jas. Milroy, Ella Milroy, all of whom are of Galt. His surviving brothers and sisters are John, Alex, Mrs. Alex McBean and Mrs Angus McBean.

      The funeral will take place on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from his late residence to Mount View Cemettery. Rev. Mr. Knowles will conduct the funeral services.

      In Loving Memory Died In North Dumfries, on Monday morning, February 2nd, 1903, at 10.45 o'clock, William Milroy, In his 74th year. The Funeral Will take place from his late residence, Lot 16, 10th Concession, North Dumfries, on Wednesday, Feb. 4th, at 2 o'clock P.M., for Mount View Cemetery, Galt. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation. N. Dumfries, Feb. 2nd, 1903.
