  Mrs. John A. McIntosh GALT, Mrs. John A. McIntosh, 2 Wentworth St., died today at South Waterloo Hospital. She was 80. The former Nellie I. Irwin, she was born in Galt, Dec. 31, 1891, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Irwin. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church and was an honorary life member of the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire and the Highland Light Infantry Chapter. She was the first regent in the Galt area, of the IODE and was honorary president of the HLI Guild, during the Second World War. She was predeceased by her husband, Col. McIntosh, Sept. 7. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy of Toronto; one son, Donald of Thornbury, four sisters; Mrs. Robert W. (Mary) Meikleham of Galt, Mrs. J. D. (Ada) Irwin. Mrs. F. G. (Bessie) Shurly, both of Toronto and Mrs. D. M. (Florence) Flarvie of Clarkson and two grandchildren. The body is at the Coutts and Son Funeral Home, until Friday, when removal will he made to the church, for service, at 3 p.m Burial will be at Mount View cemetery.
