- Noah S. Bowman, "the eldest son of Jonathan Baumann, was born in Waterloo County, February 26th, 1820. On February 18th, 1845, he was married to Lydia Ann, daughter of Abraham and Rachel (Dierstein) Clemens. She was born August 26th, 1827. They resided on a farm near West Montrose, were he died May 4th, 1886. Their family consists of five children"
