Funeral Card
___________
Passing of Cameron Marshall - Not only on the battlefield is Death rampant. It invades the peaceable home of the non-combatant with equal certainty and solemnity. On Tuesday evening Mr. Cameron Marshall was summoned by the Grim Monster, the spirit fleeing its casket of clay at 10:30 o'clock. Mr. Marshall had been ill a little over a year, but was up and about until a couple of weeks before the end came. Being of a quiet and unassuming disposition, he made many staunch friends who will regret his demise. He was born on the farm on which he died, residing there continuously for a period of nearly 55 years. ln religion, he was Presbyterian, a trustee in Knox United Church, and in politics a Reformer; but above and beyond this he was a good neighbor and a worthy citizen of the Empire. Mr. Marshall married about 29 years ago, his bride being Miss Bella Deans, who, together with two sons and two daughters, survives. The family comprises Thos. A., Jas. G., Euphemia and Bessie. The funeral will take place from the family residence, Lot 85, Con. 9, North Dumfries, on Friday afternoon to the Ayr cemetery.
