  Funeral Of Walter Little The funeral of the late Walter Little, beloved husband of Mary Rutherford, who passed away on Tuesday, April 23, in his 72nd year, took place Friday afternoon. The service at his residence, R.R. No. 1, Blair, New Dundee road was conducted by Rev. J. W. Currie, pastor of Knox United Church, Ayr, and interment was in the Ayr Cemetery. Many friends paid tribute to the memory of the late Mr. Little in attending the service and a trio, consisting of Mrs. J. M. Hunt, Mrs. G. A. Graham and Mrs. H. Plumstead of the choir of Knox United Church. sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul: The pallbearers were: Walter Little and Walter Dryden of Galt, James Little, William Wallace and John Henderson of Ayr and Ward Groff of R. R. No. 1, Blair. The Ayr News May 2 1940 pg 3 ___________________ LITTLE--At his residence, R.R. 1, Blair (Waterloo and Dumfries Townline ) on Tuesday, April 23, 1940, Walter Little, beloved husband of Mary Rutherford., in his 72nd year. Memorial service at his late residence on Friday, April 26th, at 30 o'clock. Interment In the Ayr Cemetery. The late Mr. Little is resting at the Harold Gray Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Galt, until Thursday at 9 00 am. The Ayr News Apr 25 1940 pg 10 ____________ Walter Little Walter Little, 71. R.R. 1. Blair. (Dundee road) died at his residence Tuesday night after a sixth-month illness. Born on the farm next to that on which he died. Mr. Little lived in that district all his life and was well- known for his activities in community affairs. He was a member of Knox United Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Rutherford, one brother, William, R.R. 1. Blair, three sisters. Mrs. Wililam Bunyon, RJR. 1. Blair, Mrs. Henry Wolfe, Ayr and Mrs. Michael Byers, Owen Sound. Funeral services will be held from the residence at Blair, Friday after noon, at 2.30 with interment at the Ayr cemetery.
