  Mrs. Robert Morton Passes The death occurred in Paris Nursing Home on Tuesday of Mrs. Robert Morton, a lifelong resident of this district, in her 80th year. In failing health for some time, she had been moved from her home here to Paris at the first of the week. The former Mary Isabella Brown, she was born in Reidsville district, a daughter of the late Isabella Smith and James Brown. Following her marriage, they farmed for many years on the place east of Ayr now owned by Jack George, before retiring into this village. Her husband predeceased her some years ago. Mrs. Morton was a valued member and regular attendant of Knox United Church while her health permitted. Surviving are three sisters, Miss Hannah Brown of Ayr, Mrs. Ed. Shouldice (Margaret), North Dumfries, and Mrs. Alex Eddington (Jane) of Wolseley, Sask. Three brothers, James, William and Robert Brown, predeceased her. The Funeral The funeral will be held from the W. O. Ball Funeral Parlor on Saturday at 2.30 p.m., with interment in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News May 22 1958 pg 2
