      _____________________________________

At his residence at Waterloo, Mr. Jacob K. Snyder, yesterday (July 20th) passed peacefully away, the result of a severe attack of that dread disease, Typhoid fever.

Jacob K. Snyder was always considered a strong, healthy man, a type of perfect manhood and many of us will remember the earlier days of amateur baseball when he made for himself a reputation as a strong player of any point. Indeed at any kind of athletics or skilled game in which he took part, he showed a splendid mental balance and physical perfection by immediately becoming proficient in it.

He followed the business of a farmer and owned and occupied the old homestead, so long known as Menno Snyder's his father's. He was a diligent and steady worker, and kept his place a model of what a farm should be.

The funeral will take place from his late residence in the West Ward, Waterloo to Mount Hope Cemetery, on Saturday, July 22nd, at 2 o'clock p. m.

The Record joined the many friends of Mrs. Snyder an family extending their sympathy to them in the sad loss of a kind and considerate husband and father.
