- ELVIN, MORLEY G.
Of 438 Dundas St., Galt, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, January 9, 1958, in his 60th year. Son of the late George Elvin and Agnes Dickieson, he was born in Puslinch Township and had lived in the Galt area all his life. For twenty-seven years, he was employed as a stationary engineer at Babcock- Wilcox and Goldie-McCulloch Ltd. Mr. Elvin was a member of Central Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the Canadian Legion and the Moose Lodge. In the First World War, he served with the 123rd and 129th Battalions. Survived by his wife, Bessie Booker; two daughters, Evelyn and Betty, both at home; two brothers, William of Kirkwall; Frederick of Preston; three sisters, Mary (Mrs. Stewart McConnell); Clara (Mrs. George Ashton) and Annabelle Elvin, all of Galt. Predeceased by a brother, Alexander and a sister Bessie (Mrs. William McConnell). Service at the W. R. Coutts Funeral Home on Saturday at 2, with interment in Mount View Cemetery. Rev. Dr. David Gowday of Central Presbyterian Church officiated. Pallbearers: William Whitlaw, Elvin Goudy, George Wayte, Robert Barrie, Leo Meier and William Millership.
